Handheld Crunchers easily break concrete into manageable sizes for clearing and handling. Crunchers are hydraulic jaws which are placed over the concrete to be removed. The jaws close together, and the concrete is crushed off the reinforcement steelwork. This process is repeated until the whole area is removed and the reinforcing steel is cut apart.
Omni Core Drilling’s skilled and accredited operatives use a fleet of demolition robots of various sizes with multiple attachments to deal with any situation. Percussion hammers and hydraulic jaws will break and crush reinforced concrete in excess of 400mm thick.
Typically a Brokk robot will produce the same outputs as a large squad of men with percussive hammer drills. However, these robots are operated by remote control to eliminate all possibilities of HAVS (Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome).
Bursting is highly effective in mass concrete and masonry. Bursters are hydraulically expanded in pre-drilled holes producing up to 200 tons of pressure, causing the material to split and break apart, making further breaking and removal significantly easier.
